This brought together stakeholders involved in fisheries management from across the Southern African Development Community (SADC). These discussed the real-life concerns, practices and experienced of their fishing communities within the context of fisheries management and national policy.
The result was a statement of commitment from SADC Ministers responsible for marine fisheries. This resolved to renew their commitment to sustainable development and address illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in the region. You can view a copy in the download section.
